Hello!

I’m Kate Ryan*

*clearly not the Belgian Pop Star, although I still inexplicably get her fan mail

I am an award-winning non-fiction producer and senior editor whose work has received millions of views over my 20+ year career. Whether it’s a 30-second promo or feature-length documentary, my work effectively engages audiences and accomplishes my client’s goals, often picking up awards along the way.

After winning a Student Emmy for my thesis film in 2007, I went on to direct my first feature documentary, Welcome Nowhere. Narrated by Academy Award nominee Ethan Hawke, the film won multiple awards at festivals across the world, and has been viewed more than a million times on YouTube.

Since then, I’ve edited and produced promos, sizzles, trailers, reality tv, documentaries, and more. Much of my work has been in film/tv marketing, helping major studios gain audiences for Oscar Best Picture winners, #1 streaming shows, and exclusive Behind-the-Scenes content. My clients include Disney, AppleTV+, Warner Bros., Paramount, PBS, Universal, and Netflix, as well as boutique agencies and non-profits across the world. Our work together has won Clios, Tellys, Emmys, and more.

When I’m not working, I can be found having a dance party with my son, trying a new restaurant with my husband, pouring over a cookbook, or planning a tropical vacation. Chances are I have cold brew or chocolate in my hand. Probably both.
